This has nothing to do with being blind. Although someone who may be blind may hold their head to one side, what you are describing is a physiological issue. The neck muscles need to be strengthened. The name of it begins with a T although I am unsure of how to pronounce the word so I will just leave it at that. My husband had the same thing when he was born and now my nephew. Physical therapy and sometimes a helmet. The parents should speak to a pediatrician.

DeAyn; I have twin gs, and when they were born, one of
them tilted his head for about 7-8 mons. But he grew
out of it.

Not certain however if mom & dad are at home ~ they

I am hoping it will encourage them to do more
"tummy-time" to aid in the strengthening of her tummy
& neck muscles.

The one thing that concerns me is that she holds her
head to one side only and when on her tummy or back
will not willingly move it or keep it there (even if I
place it in the other direction). When sitting in her
carseat or in the Bumbo or even in the Bouncer she
tilts her head to this same side too.

A frd of mine who just happen to be stopping by is
blind in one eye and asked with concern if perhaps
this baby may be. She mentioned she used to cock her
head (tilt it) to one side so she could see the world
around her better.

I was curious if any of you may know of this or any
other reason she may be doing this???

Baby was full term & was taken C-sec (if it at all
helps to know).
